How Aemono Fix handles your photo
Draft, pending legal review.
Your photo, in short
- Your photo stays on this device until you choose it. Then the app sends a smaller copy to our server for the check, which keeps nothing.
- When you tap Fix it, your photo goes to our AI service, which makes the fixed picture. We keep the picture, a small copy of your photo, and the fixes used for 30 days, or until you delete the picture.
- Aemono Fix and aemono.com share one account, and the pictures you fix here show on both.
When the app checks your photo
To find what your photo needs, the app sends a smaller copy of it to our AI service. We don't keep it: it's deleted as soon as the check is done. No fix is used.
Before the copy leaves this device, the app makes it no larger than 768 pixels on its long side and removes its hidden details, such as where it was taken.
We keep a record that a check ran and which fixes it suggested, with no photo and nothing that says who you are.
The AI service may keep its own copy for up to 30 days to check for abuse, under its own rules.
When you tap Fix it
We send your photo and the fixes you ticked to our AI service, which makes the fixed picture. We delete the photo you send from our servers when the picture is done, and also when it fails or you cancel it.
When the picture is made, we keep it with a small copy of your photo, about the size of the picture, the fixes used, and whether you tapped "Not right?" or "Fix it again". We delete them after 30 days, when you delete the picture, or when you delete your account.
For 24 hours after a fix, we also keep a fingerprint of your photo, so Try again knows it's the same photo. A fingerprint is a short code made from the photo, and it can't be turned back into the photo.
If a picture isn't made, we keep a record of the attempt, with its fixes and the reason, but not your photo, for 30 days. You can delete it in Pictures.
This device keeps the photo you sent until you choose another one, so Try again can send it again.
The AI service may keep its own copy for up to 30 days to check for abuse.
One account for Aemono Fix and aemono.com
Aemono Fix and aemono.com share one account: the same sign-in, the same fixes from a code, and the same pictures. The pictures you fix here also show on aemono.com, with the fixes used. Pictures you make on aemono.com don't show here.
What your account keeps, what Google and Apple tell us when you sign in, and your sign-in history are on aemono.com's privacy page.
What the app counts
We count visits ourselves, without cookies: the screens you open, the site or app you came from, your country and city, your internet provider's name, your device type, system, and browser, your language, and how long you stay. We don't keep your IP address. A code that changes every day groups the screens of one visit, so we can't recognize you on another day. We keep these records 90 days, and totals without them for 25 months.
When you save or share a picture, the app tells our server, so we can count how many fixed pictures people keep.
When your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the app sends none of these. Your tap on "Not right?" or "Fix it again" is kept either way: it's an answer you give about your picture.
How to delete your pictures and your account
Delete a picture in Pictures, or from the picture itself. It's deleted on aemono.com too.
In Account, Download your data gives you a file of your data, and Delete your account deletes your account on Aemono Fix and aemono.com, with your pictures, the small copies of your photos, and the fixes you have left, within a few minutes.
If you can't sign in, for example because your account is blocked, write to support@aemono.com and we'll send you your data or delete your account.
